The 55w I guess will produce the same ammount of heat as the standard halogen bulbs but I'm a bit worried about the 75w. The first difference is in the wattage and name itself. My understanding was that the 35W would yield plenty of power and that with the new HID lights, you'd have plenty of light, whereas the 55W would yield even more power, but the equipment would have a shorter lifespan, and there would be so much additional power that your lights would blind other. Has anybody tried anything higher than 35watts? So I'm thinking of changing the kit i have now (35w) to a 55w or maybe to a 75w. HID: Ultima 225 50 watt combination pack (spot and spread) 789. HID: Ultima 225 35 watt combination pack (spot and spread) 649. I mean it is not so strong when there is some other sources of light around. Halogen: Ultima 225 combination pack (spot and spread) 449. The difference initially was huge but 6 months later and when i compare it with the light output of some modern BMWs or some other Lexus models which have xenon as standard, mine is way less.
